HRRB District II Competition

It’s a great day to be a BI HRRB Tiger! We competed in the state semi-finals of the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl competition on Saturday, February 23rd at Southeast Bulloch High School. With six of the top schools in our half of the state present, this was the toughest competition we have seen yet during this reading bowl season. By our closest margin yet, we defeated the other five regional winners to earn our spot in the state championship rounds to be held in Athens on March 9th. We will compete head-to-head against the District I winner, Lithia Springs High School, during two, twenty-question rounds. We are so proud of the dedication of our team this year! They decided back in August that they wanted to compete for the state championship, and they have read, worked, and practiced to make it happen. Please wish us luck for our final and most important competition!
